On AI usage

This is how I use AI and LLM tools.

I use the free web versions of Google Gemini, Mistral AI, and Perplexity (rarely) for queries I previously sent to search engines.

As a non-native English and Spanish speaker, I seldom use Google Translate and LanguageTool, an AI-based grammar checker.

I don’t use LLM tools for generating posts, emails, or any other texts I write.

I don’t use LLM tools for programming.

I don’t see any real advantages in using AI for anything. Meanwhile, the harm we inflict on ourselves chasing this new thing is already being felt and will grow.
